About the Commissioners' Award

The Commissioners' Award program (formerly the Hard Corps Award) recognizes the hard work of students who volunteer 50+ hours during the school year. If you earn enough hours, you will automatically receive the President's Award at no extra cost. There is a $35 processing fee for the Commissioners' Award.

Many Mayor’s Award and Commissioners' Award winners are eligible for the President’s Volunteer Service Award

NO STUDENT WILL BE TURNED AWAY FOR INABILITY TO PAY. The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center believes strongly in supporting student volunteers.

  • Youth ages 12-18 may apply.
  • Awards are issued for hours served between the first day and last day of the school year.  50 or more total volunteer hours must be completed during this time frame.
