IMPACT CAMP

About IMPACT Camps

IMPACT Camps provide area high school-aged youth with an affordable, local, week-long community service/urban mission experience.

Students participating in the program spend Monday through Friday from 9 A.M to 4 P.M on a staff-supervised team working on a variety of service projects throughout the Triangle. They will hear from community leaders to learn about the housing crisis, hunger, poverty, environmental justice, and other issues facing the local community. Participants will also receive leadership and team-building training, and engage in reflection activities.

Lunch will be provided each day, with a set daily menu. We will offer limited options to accommodate common dietary needs; however, students with highly specialized dietary requirements are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Snacks will also be provided.

Students must be dropped off/picked up or drive themselves to/from each service site. You will receive the list of service sites the week before IMPACT Camp begins.
