Additional Student Opportunities
Entrepreneurs & Innovators – NEXGEN Residential Summer Camp is designed to be a fun, interactive, and engaging experience for middle and high school students. Participants will (1) learn how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, (2) learn how to discover problems and identify needs in the market, and (3) develop a pitch based on the vetted business idea. The dates of the Camp are July 7-21, 2024.
The Program is open to rising high school freshman, sophomore, juniors, and seniors with 2.8 GPA or higher. Report card displaying the GPA. The Program is FREE; however, the registration is $50.
The week-long residential camp will include a few field trips, including (1) visiting Forge Greensboro, a premier maker space for inventors and entrepreneurs; (2) UNC Charlotte’s PORTAL tour and panel discussions with entrepreneurs and other support service professionals; (3) Top Golf Charlotte.

Youth 14-24: Want to make a difference this summer? Be part of Kids Voting Durham’s Youth Civic Leadership team! You can help make sure youth, first-time voters, and even adults are informed and engaged in the upcoming election. Both in person paid positions and virtual/hybrid part-time volunteer opportunities are available.
