Durham Farmer's Market

Saturdays through November | FREE |  501 Foster Street Durham, NC 27701

Located at the Pavilion at Durham Central Park. See a map & directions. Below are our hours:

  • Main Season Market: Saturdays from 8 am-12 pm (April – November)
  • Mid-Week Market: Open Wednesdays from 3-6 pm (April 17, 2024 – mid-October)
  • Winter Market Hours: Saturdays from 10 am-12 pm (December – March)
  • Thanksgiving Market: Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

During the main season, the Durham Craft Market sets up on the green space at Durham Central Park right next to the farmers’ market.  Art Market Durham is hosted by Cecy’s Gallery and sets up every Saturday at the intersection of Hunt Street and Foster Street, right next to the farmers’ market!  Though it may seem like one be market, it is actually three separate markets happening each weekend at the same time and place – the more the merrier!!!!  We love our neighbors and know that you will, too!  So be sure to explore all the offerings on Saturday and you will be amazed at what you will find!

West End Poetry Festival

October 17-19 | Downtown Carrboro

Poetry has played an important role in Carrboro’s cultural identity for many years. The town is home to the renowned annual West End Poetry Festival, which features a range of events and activities that celebrate the power of poetry. The festival is a gathering of poets from across the country, and has helped put Carrboro on the map as a hub for creative expression and literary excellence.

Bull City Race Fest and Food Truck Rodeo

Sunday, October 20, 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM | 318 Blackwell St Durham, NC 27701

This festival has something for the fastest runners and families alike. Start and Finish at Diamond View Park at the American Tobacco Campus and choose from the Half Marathon, Five Miler or 1 Mile distances. Enjoy a fall morning of running through downtown Durham, Duke University and surrounding Historic Neighborhoods. After you cross the finish line, enjoy delicious eats from a variety of delicious food trucks! The Bull City Race Fest is the culmination of a world class running experience and a world class eating experience, all in a world class city – DURHAM Produced by Endurance Magazine.

Barktoberfest 2024

Saturday, October 26 | 3:30 – 6:30 PM | Durham Central Park

Durham Parks and Recreation presents Barktoberfest, a tail-wagging celebration for dogs and their humans, bringing the community together for a day of canine fun, festive activities, and delicious treats. This event features dog costume contests, agility courses, local vendors, and plenty of opportunities for pups to socialize and strut their stuff. Whether you’re a pet parent or a dog lover, Barktoberfest promises a howling good time for everyone. Your support will help us promote a dog-friendly community and provide services to people and their pets in underserved areas. Don’t miss out on the paw-some fun and the chance to meet fellow dog enthusiasts!

 

Taste of China: Chinese Food & Culture Festival
